Silversea upgrade eligibility

Whether a Silversea booking can be upgraded depends on a few factors. Eligibility is shown when you enter your booking reference and last name on Silversea's upgrade page — but here's what generally determines it.

What affects eligibility

These are the common factors that determine whether an upgrade offer appears on your booking:

  • ·Fare class — deeply discounted and some promotional fares are often excluded; mid-tier and flexible fares are typically eligible.
  • ·Timing window — upgrades usually open weeks before departure and close 24–48 hours before.
  • ·Stateroom availability — the higher stateroom must have space.
  • ·Route / sailing — not every route or departure is configured for upgrades.
  • ·Booking structure — group bookings and some complex itineraries may be excluded.

Loyalty tier

As a Venetian Society member, your tier may affect access or the bid range you see on Silversea.

Frequently asked

Is my Silversea booking eligible for an upgrade?

Eligibility depends on your fare class, how close you are to departure, stateroom availability, and your route. The only way to know for sure is to enter your booking reference and last name on Silversea's upgrade page.

Why don't I see an upgrade option on my Silversea booking?

Common reasons are a non-eligible fare class, being outside the upgrade window (too early or too late), or no availability in the higher stateroom on your route.
